Dr. Wadsworth is a member of the Wildcat Club team responsible for raising funds for the University of Arizona Athletics Department. She is responsible for obtaining major gifts for the Athletics Department and manages the annual giving, regional development and the A-Club Letter Winner Association, as well as administrative duties related to baseball, women’s gymnastics, and Arizona Sports Hall of Fame. She has been a member of the Athletics Department staff since 1997 and has worked on the UA campus for 23 years.
In 2014, she became an adjunct faculty member of the Eller College of Management, Department of Organization and Management, Sports Management Program. She teaches a special topics class – Fundraising and Public Relations in College Athletics each semester.
Dr. Wadsworth has extensive experience in fund development, public relations, event planning, and community relations. Her responsibilities have included major gift solicitations, annual giving, regional development, alumni relations, special events, publications, heritage and tradition, public relations, cheerleaders and mascots, website management, and community relations.
Prior to joining the Athletics Department staff, she was the director of the Annual Fund for the University of Arizona Foundation, the fund-raising arm of the University.
As a native of Tucson, Wadsworth received her doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Arizona (2008), M.A. from Northern Arizona University (1997), and her B.A. degree from the University of Arizona (1990). She has served on numerous non-profit boards and is currently is a member of Angel Charity for Children, Key Group, UA Hispanic Alumni Club, and on the Bank of Tucson Advisory Committee, among others. She is married to Earl Wadsworth.
